General War History

This is the General War History Page
Here you will see reports on the progress of the SFC Campaign.  Hopefully I'll be posting interesting battles and acts of bravery on a turn by turn basis, to give some life and weight to the campaign as it is being played.  Here to will be pictures and links to combat film for review by all readers.  Check by at least once a week and see what has happened in the next "game" month of the saga known as SFC Campaign!

FALL Y29 - Lyrans launch a surprise invasion of  Hydran Space!  Hydrans taken completely by surprise, reel from the attack.

SPRING Y30 - Joining their Allies the Lyrans, the Klingons also blitz the Hydran boarders, the Hydrans reeling from the attacks in 29 from the Lyrans, fall back on all fronts.  It looks like the Lyran-Klingon plan to destroy the Hydrans may succeed!

FALL Y30 - Hydrans are completely routed and fall back to their old holdings the "Old Colonies" far from known space.  The Federation mobilizes its forces on its border, to late to assist the Hydrans the build up ends there.  The Lyrans and Klingons thinking the Hydrans no longer a threat, redeploy their forces towards the Federation.

SPRING Y31 - The Hydrans regroup their surviving forces and initiate a crash program to refit and rebuild their Navy from the Old Colonies production centers.  In under a year they manage to recover all that was lost.  Seeing that the Klingon-Lyran Coalition had grown lax and their forces sparse in former Hydran territory, the Hydrans initiate a series of uncharacteristic lightning strikes and take back half their territory before the Klingons and Lyrans can counter.

FALL Y31 - The Hydrans continue to enjoy their success, pushing the Klingon and Lyrans back even farther.  The Lyrans and Klingons manage to redirect enough forces to halt the Hydrans at the old boarders, but with the plan to invade the Federation so close, they do not reinvade.  The war was costly for the Hydrans, losing 40% of their fleet in taking back their lost territory.  They make a plea to the Federation for assistance.  Warning them of the impending invasion planned by the Klingons and Lyrans.  They immediately move resources to build up their defenses once more.

SPRING Y32 - The Klingons urge their allies the Lyrans to reinvade the Hydrans now while they are weak, and this time station sufficient forces to contain them at the old Colonies, the Klingons come up with a 5 year plan where the Federation will be invaded after the Hydrans are contained.  The Lyrans are all for it, buildups on the Hydran borders begin.

FALL Y32 - In a border skirmish with some Pirates along the Lyran/Federation border the Red Claw CC Sorcerer captained by the Heir to the Thrown, was destroyed.  The Lyran Emperor mistakenly blames the Federation for his Sons death and immediately orders their destruction, he declares war on the Federation.  Abandoning all build up on the Hydran border, he redirects all resources to the Federation Front.  The Klingons are furious as their time table is now in ruin.  Although they object, but left no choice, they  too declare war along with their Allies against the Federation. Massive buildups begin along their borders.  The Klingons look toward the Romulans for assistance, pointing out that a quick demise of the Federation would allow the Romulans to dominate the Gorns.  The Phony War begins.

SPRING Y33 - With only the occasional border skirmish, both sides glare at each other and there is a lot of saber rattling.  The Klingons manage to convince the Romulans to their cause, and  the the Romulans Declare war against the Federation.  Sending several ships across their border reining terror wherever they are found.  The Federation, over reacts and since the two borders with the Lyrans and Klingons seem stable and the Federation diplomatic core is confident they can forestall any bloodshed on those boarders, redirect more then half their forces along the Lyran boarder to assist in defending against the Romulan aggressors. The Hydrans try to put their shattered economy back together and try to rebuild their damaged Naval arm. They continue their massive defense project to secure their borders with the Lyran and Klingons.  Fighting has been minor only between the three empires, the Hydrans apparently satisfied with reestablishing their borders once again.

FALL Y33 - The Federation calling on its alliance with the Gorns, invoke their alliance for assistance against the Romulans, the Gorn agree and formally declare war against the Romulan Empire.  The Gorns institute several raids along the Romulan border in an attempt to draw ships away from the Federation.  The Lyrans seeing the effect that the Romulans have had on the Federation deployments along their borders, mislead the Federation diplomats into believing a resolution is near and in an appearent gesture of good will pull some of their ships from the Lyran/Federation border.  The Federation confident and relieved, pulls more ships from that border to send against the Romulans.  The Klingons continue to build up their forces and watch carefully the development of the war along the opposite poles of the Federation "sphere".  The Hydran defense plan is near completed, defense bases all along their border near completion.

SPRING Y34 - Sending a message to the Romulans, the Klingons suggest they "Let" the Federation feel they have secured their border.  The Romulans comply and beat the Gorns back across their border as well, making it look like the Gorns pulled them off of the Federation.  The Federation, confident and bolstered by their apparent success on the Lyran border, feel they can end the war with the Romulans within a year.  The Lyrans "quietly" redeploy their ships back along the Federation border, or within easy movement of the border.  The Coalition, coils like a snake ready to strike unknown to their enemies who feel that the war is about to grind down and peace once more on the horizon.  The Hydrans complete their defenses along their border and rebuild 15% of their Naval arm, with many ships in the process of construction.
